Drew Williamson is a litigator and trusted advisor who helps employers and businesses resolve high-stakes workplace and competitive disputes—and avoid the next one.
Drew's practice centers on employment litigation, including restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes. He drafts restrictive covenants, including non-competes and non-solicitation agreements, and litigates their enforceability. He also prosecutes and defends claims for injunctive and equitable relief involving trade secret misappropriation, tortious interference, and unfair competition. And he defends employers nationwide against discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims in state and federal court, before administrative agencies and in arbitration.
Drew is equally focused on keeping clients out of court. He advises employers on how evolving local, state and federal laws affect their policies, guides reorganizations and reductions in force, and conducts labor and employment due diligence for M&A clients ranging from emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 companies.
Drew also maintains a significant labor relations practice, serving as first-chair counsel in labor arbitrations and representing employers before the National Labor Relations Board and similar state and tribal agencies.
Before joining Kilpatrick, Drew practiced in the New York City office of a national labor and employment firm and, before that, served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department, defending the City, its agencies, and its management. In law school, he was a judicial intern for the Honorable Justice Josiah P. Coleman of the Supreme Court of Mississippi and spent his final semester interning in the New York State Office of the Attorney General's Litigation Bureau. He was Executive Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board.
Drew serves as Vice Chair of the City of Atlanta Ethics Board.
