"Cybersecurity: What Bank Director’s Need to Know," Maryland Bankers Association, June 2015.
The cyber security challenges today’s banks are facing are new, complex, constantly evolving and often confusing to a bank’s board of directors. Tackling these challenges feels daunting. Bank boards of directors role in cyber security defense is not to involve itself in technical controls and defenses, but one of oversight and certain calculated steps to comply with their fiduciary duties and to protect themselves, their customers and their employees from a cyber attack. This session will provide directors with some insight on this rapidly changing topic.
