The ACC Georgia Chapter and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP will present “Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: How 2017 Is Shaping Up & What You Need to Know to Protect Your Company.” Recent news has been full of headlines concerning corruption in Brazil, South Korea, Mexico and all over the world. Already in 2017, the DOJ recovered approximately $225 million from companies seeking to resolve FCPA allegations. The luncheon’s panel will feature perspectives from in-house and outside counsel as well as a forensic expert and federal prosecutor on the enforcement trends this year, and how in-house counsel can protect their companies. Topics will include the effectiveness of the FCPA Pilot Program; the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, Kokesh v. SEC, as well as the various options companies may have to resolve any FCPA allegations. Kilpatrick Townsend partner Doug Gilfillan will serve as a panelist.
