This session will feature an interactive panel discussion with those involved in the fabrication, modular assembly, QA/QC, logistics, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of major infrastructure. The panel will examine the unique challenges faced by industrial owners and EPC contractors attempting to capitalize on this growing project delivery method, including a discussion of risks, claims and contracting strategies. Learn about opportunities to utilize this execution strategy on domestic and international projects.
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key objectives of modularization, including reduced local sourcing, resource rates, construction risk, set-up costs, project time to market and logistical complexity, and the factors potentially impacting the realization of each.
- Understand effective drafting techniques designed to limit claim exposure and liability, and promote prompt resolution of claims.
- Understand effective strategies used by internal stakeholders, as well as attorneys and consultants, to anticipate, avoid, mitigate, and/or resolve claims.
