Insights: News Kilpatrick Adds Prominent Financial Institutions Partner in Seattle
SEATTLE (May 5) – Kilpatrick announced today that Marc Williams has joined as a partner on the Firm’s nationally recognized Financial Institutions Team in the Seattle office. Mr. Williams previously practiced at Buchalter.
“Marc is a strategic addition to the Financial Institutions Team,” said Chris Gatusso, Kilpatrick Financial Institutions Team Chair. “Marc is adept at providing regulatory and transactional counsel —a critical capability for our clients as their business models and risk environments evolve. His practice will benefit clients across the Firm and particularly in the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West where our practice is growing.”
Mr. Williams brings more than two decades of experience advising regional and community banks, bank boards, and financial services companies on regulatory, transactional, enforcement, and governance matters. His practice is built around deep, trusted relationships with financial institutions and their boards, including community and regional banks, bank holding companies, fintechs, and specialty lenders. Mr. Williams delivers business-oriented counsel across the financial institution spectrum: federal and state banking regulation, compliance and enforcement, chartering, change in control, third-party vendor relationships, executive compensation, board advisory, and complex lending and commercial finance. He also supports these clients in M&A, capital markets, and corporate governance.

Early in his career, Mr. Williams served as a member of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
Mr. Williams’ success has been recognized by leading legal rankings. He has been named as one of “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business” in Corporate/Commercial (Washington) by Chambers USA and listed in Best Lawyers in America in Securities Law/Capital Markets Law for the past 13 years.
Mr. Williams earned a J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and a B.S., Political Science, from Auburn University. He is admitted in Washington, California, Oregon. and Utah.
