Legislative Activity
Many members attended a legislative conference out of state this week making for a light work week at the General Assembly. The Senate did not hold any voting sessions and will resume work Monday, August 2. The House held a brief session on Monday night and passed a local annexation bill. They also passed H791 that would allow licensed counselors to enter an interstate compact to practice across state lines. House Speaker Moore said the next voting session will be next Tuesday, August 3. House members are also expected to receive a budget schedule for the second week of August.
