This CLE webinar will guide counsel to trademark owners regarding trademark registration strategy outside the U.S. The panel will take an in-depth look at the advantages and disadvantages of using the Madrid Protocol and filing national applications through local counsel in the foreign jurisdiction. The panel will examine the factors that U.S. trademark applicants should consider when determining where to file and offer guidance regarding the mechanics of making such filings.

CLE Credit
Credits Available
Strafford legal webinars are usually eligible for 1.5 general CLE credits, depending on program length and state rules. Programs with "ethics" in the title of the event generally earn between 0.5 and 1.5 ethics credits. In addition, many states will grant self-study CLE credits for listening to recorded events.
Accreditation
Strafford is accredited as a CLE sponsor in most states. Refer to our state CLE map for information about your state. We do not seek direct accreditation of live or recorded webinars for FL. We will help you self-apply to the Florida Bar for CLE course attendance credit.
Certificate of Attendance
To obtain CLE credit, attendees must participate in the live event and confirm their participation by completing and submitting an Attendance Affirmation/Evaluation after the webinar. All attendees must have ordered and paid by 2pm Eastern the day of the program and will receive a Certificate of Attendance within 24 hours.
On-Demand Webinars
Strafford's CLE On-Demand programs are pre-approved in the following states: AK, AZ, CA, HI, MT, NM, NV, NY, WI, WV, VT. Refer to our state CLE map for state-specific information.
We will also process participatory, self-study or non-traditional/alternate format credit upon request: make sure to select your state(s) when placing your order as processing time varies.

Recordings
Many states grant self-study CLE credits for recorded events. Refer to our state CLE map for information about your state. Strafford will provide a CLE certificate of attendance to the person listed as the attendee on the order receipt.
