Megan Fitzgerald’s broad intellectual property practice focuses on copyright and trademark disputes. She advises clients on innovative issues across the technology, music, fashion, and publishing industries. Clients turn to Megan for assistance with all phases of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, drafting successful dispositive motions, coordinating with expert witnesses, and facilitating all aspects of the discovery process.

Prior to joining the firm, Megan was a senior associate in the Intellectual Property group at a global white-shoe law firm in its New York City office where she concentrated her practice on copyright litigation, trademark disputes, and complex intellectual property matters. Previously, she was an associate in the New York City office of a leading transatlantic law firm where she maintained a broad complex commercial litigation practice and represented clients across a wide range of industries in connection with breach of contract, antitrust, soft IP, and white-collar litigation matters.

Megan combines her high-level litigation skills with a strong commitment to pro bono and diversity initiatives with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ advocacy. She has successfully petitioned for legal name changes for over two dozen transgender clients.

While attending Harvard Law School, Megan was Assistant Managing Editor, Article Editor, and Line Editor for the Journal of Law and Gender and Online Content Editor for the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. She was also Producer, Board Member, and Band Director of the HLS Parody. Megan served as a legal intern at Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts in Nashville, Tennessee where she worked with musicians, writers, and artists and drafted entertainment contacts and copyright and trademark registrations.

Megan was recognized as a New York “Rising Star” in 2026 and the five years immediately preceding for Intellectual Property Litigation and Antitrust Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine.

Megan is proficient in Spanish and has basic knowledge of German and French.
