Mariah Weaver focuses her practice on labor and employment law with an emphasis on defending employers in a wide range of issues including claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, failure to provide reasonable accommodation, law violations, and wage and hour and collective actions. Mariah also has experience litigating claims under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and other representative claims under state and federal law. Additionally, she regularly advises and represents clients in administrative matters before entities such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Civil Rights Department (CCRD) and the California Labor Commissioner’s Office.
Prior to joining the firm, Mariah was an associate in the San Rafael, California office of an AMLaw 200 firm where she concentrated her practice on labor and employment and professional liability matters.
Prior to launching her legal career, Mariah worked as a Legal Analyst in the San Francisco office of a multinational transportation company and a Project Manager at a global digital content store in Mountain View, California.
While attending University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly U.C. Hastings), Mariah served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Keith Fong in the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda. She also served as a certified law student for employment law in the Individual Representation Clinic and a law clerk for the AIDS Legal Referral Program. Mariah was Staff Writer and Communications Manager for the Hastings Journal on Gender and the Law.
Mariah is fluent in Spanish.
