Maeghan Whitehead counsels and advocates for businesses and individuals in high-stakes, complex litigation across a broad range of matters, including product liability, loan enforcement and workouts, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and intellectual property disputes. Her practice is intentionally diverse, reflecting the multifaceted challenges her clients face. Maeghan regularly leads large teams in sophisticated litigation while also working hands-on with clients navigating foreclosures, receiverships, and other workout strategies, in addition to handling general commercial disputes.
She represents clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to entrepreneurs across a wide variety of industries and has litigated cases in numerous federal and state courts. Maeghan has briefed and presented oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as well as appellate courts throughout Texas. Maeghan’s experience spans complex disputes involving breaches of contract, business divorces, fraudulent transfers, and other bet-the-company matters. Clients value Maeghan’s practical, business-minded approach, energy, and ability to excel when the stakes are highest.
Deeply committed to both the legal and philanthropic communities, Maeghan serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Women Lawyers Association Foundation. From 2021 to 2023, she served as the Co-Chair and Lead Chair of Attorneys Serving the Community (ASC), an organization that brings women lawyers together to utilize their resources and support local non-profit organizations whose programs aid women, children, and families.
Maeghan has been recognized in 2024, 2025 and 2026 by The Best Lawyers in America® for Intellectual Property Litigation. D Magazine named her as one of the “Best Lawyers Under 40” in 2022 and 2023 and one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” in 2021 and 2023. She was also recognized as a Texas “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for Business Litigation from 2019 through 2024.
Before joining the firm, Maeghan was a partner at a Dallas-based intellectual property and commercial litigation firm, where her practice focused on complex commercial and IP disputes. Earlier in her career, she practiced extensively in patent infringement litigation and advanced through the ranks from associate to partner at a Dallas business litigation firm.
While attending law school, Maeghan served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Stanwood R. Duval, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She was also a member of the Tulane Journal of International & Comparative Law.
