Chris, a founding partner of our New York and Beijing offices and co-author of the popular textbook "Technology Transfer in the PRC", is the Managing Partner of the firm's Beijing office. Chris is the head of our China trademark team and represents many of the world’s top brand owners throughout the region. He is currently involved in the creation, protection, and exploitation of IP rights across many industries, and works with clients who are new to the China market and those who have a well-developed presence in the region. His work covers a wide variety of issues including IP dispute resolution, trademark protection and enforcement, commercial and corporate transactions, and the procurement of IP rights.
In addition to practicing as a Hong Kong and New York attorney, Chris is also licensed to practice, and has practiced, in the United Kingdom. He is able to work with a growing number of corporations as they expand their businesses and encounter disputes in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. Chris has been recognized repeatedly as one of the top trademark lawyers in the U.S. and has received the prestigious Burton Award for excellence in legal writing.
