Tony Glosson delivers creative solutions on a range of cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, and regulatory compliance matters. Tony is the author of several publications in the field of technology law and regularly dives into the technical aspects of enterprise network security, business continuity, and incident response. Tony has extensive experience negotiating complex technology contracts governing data use rights, data protection and cybersecurity measures, tech mergers and acquisitions, cloud computing, software licensing arrangements, risk mitigation and allocation, and confidentiality obligations.
Prior to joining the firm, Tony was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm where his practice focused on information privacy, security, marketing, and information governance. Tony was also seconded to a well-known telecommunications company where he worked as a privacy counsel and provided data protection guidance on contracts, new products, and initiatives in the office of its general counsel.
While attending law school, Tony served as a law clerk at the Institute of Justice, a non-profit libertarian, civil liberties, public interest law firm. He was a law clerk for a Commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) where he worked on numerous privacy and communications matters. Tony served as a law clerk at TechFreedom where he collaborated on articles on issues spanning copyright law, data privacy, and the First Amendment. Tony served as Editor-in-Chief of the Federal Communications Law Journal.
Prior to launching his legal career, Tony worked as a freelance web developer.
Tony was recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" in 2025 for Technology Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. In 2023, he was named to the Capital Pro Bono High Honor Roll, which recognizes the contributions of those D.C. Bar members who donated 100 hours or more of pro bono service during the previous calendar year.
