Meghan Farmer is a privacy and data protection specialist and strategic advisor who leverages her nearly 15 years of diverse privacy experience to provide clear, actionable guidance to business leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and technical product teams. Meghan has experience handling sophisticated global and domestic privacy-related matters, including in-house experience advising senior executives and boards of directors on their most important legal issues.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Meghan was Deputy General Counsel, Product Privacy at a publicly-traded financial services company in Atlanta, Georgia. Before this role, she was Vice President of Legal, Privacy and Data Protection at a leading provider of e-mail marketing and automation services in Atlanta, Georgia, where she spent nearly five years. Previously, Meghan worked with the firm as a senior associate in its Technology, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice where she focused in the areas of U.S. and global privacy, data strategy, cross border transactions, product privacy compliance, and biometric technologies.
Meghan was also Senior Manager of Privacy Operations at a pharmaceuticals distributor and provider of health information technology, medical supplies, and care management tools in Alpharetta, Georgia where she developed and implemented programs, policies, and procedures that enabled the appropriate use and protection of information for two of its business units. Meghan was also a Senior Consultant at two industry leading audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services providers in Arlington, Virginia and McLean, Virginia and a Privacy Analyst at a premier global research management society in Arlington, Virginia.
Meghan was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in 2025 for Technology Law.
