Insights: News Kilpatrick Names Carrie Barbee Managing Partner of the Los Angeles Office
LOS ANGELES (December 4) – Kilpatrick announced today that Carrie Barbee was named the Managing Partner for the firm's Los Angeles office effective December 1, 2025. Ms. Barbee assumes the leadership of the Los Angeles office from Larry McFarland who served as Managing Partner since 2013. Mr. McFarland will continue counseling clients as part of the firm’s internationally recognized Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Team.

Ms. Barbee is a partner on Kilpatrick’s Trademark, Copyright, & Advertising Team focusing her practice on policing and enforcing trademarks and copyrights – through both pre-litigation enforcement and enforcement litigation – for companies across industries, including some of the world’s largest technology and consumer products companies. She has designed and implemented intellectual property enforcement programs protecting against all types of copyright and trademark violations, including counterfeiting, gray market, infringement, phishing, hacking, and cybersquatting. In addition to litigation, Ms. Barbee’s practice includes enforcement through ICANN’s domain name dispute resolution policy and working with foreign counsel to oversee domain dispute proceedings internationally.
